We’re hiring! Coffee Equipment Technician Apprentice – Jersey & Guernsey

Purpose of the role:

As a Coffee Equipment Technician Apprentice at Fox, you will embark on an exciting journey to become a skilled technician with the coffee industry. This apprenticeship program is designed to provide you with comprehensive training and hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing various coffee machines and equipment. You will work closely with experienced technicians, gaining valuable knowledge and skills to become a proficient Coffee Equipment Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Learning and Training: Participate in an intensive training program to understand the operation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and more.
•  Assisting Technicians: Work alongside experienced technicians to assist in equipment installations, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks.
•  Diagnosing and Repairing: Learn to diagnose technical issues with coffee equipment and assist in conducting necessary repairs efficiently and effectively.
•  Customer Interaction: Develop strong communication skills while interacting with customers to understand their equipment issues and provide information on maintenance and usage.
•  Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment service and repair activities, ensuring that all paperwork is complete and organized.
•  Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling and servicing coffee equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
•  Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements in coffee equipment technology and industry trends through ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Passion for coffee and a desire to learn about coffee equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a keen interest in troubleshooting and repairing machines.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented and capable of following technical instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations as needed.
• A valid driver’s license or willingness to obtain one.

Hours of Work

Normal working hours are 37.5 per week over five days and you may be required, on occasion, to work overtime to meet business needs.
