We’re hiring! Trainee Vending Technician – Jersey

Purpose of the Role:

The main purpose of this position is to undergo a full training program provided by the company to achieve full competence towards the position of Vending Technician.

Key Responsibilities:

Role Specific: As a Trainee you will be working towards and carrying out the following responsibilities under supervision and guidance of the Vending Technicians.

  • The primary responsibility will be to shadow the various vending staff members to observe, learn, and assist them while building up knowledge and experience for your own role.
  • Install, service and repair of a variety of equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines
  • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance service visits
  • Notify Management if customer requirements cannot be met, and assist in negotiating a workable solution for both parties
  • Provide accurate and detailed records of works carried out and parts used
  • Maintain and repair the spare machine stock
  • Adhere to all customers’ procedures concerning access, security and health and safety measures
  • Report all customer feedback, both positive and negative, to Management
  • Develop close working relationships with customers to provide first class customer service
  • Develop and maintain a continuous improvement approach to help improve customer service levels, quality standards, productivity, and efficiency
  • Ensure an organised, secure, and clean storage environment for all equipment and spares (at all locations and within vehicles)

  • Assist in creating, reviewing, and updating the company’s standard operating practices and risk assessments

 

Experience/Skills Required:

Essential:

  • Health & Safety working practices
  • Electro and mechanical knowledge
  • Clean driving licence
  • Good knowledge of Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Knowledge of the island
  • CRB clearance

An Advantage:

  • Basic food hygiene certificate
  • Electrical qualification
  • Barista / coffee knowledge
  • Plumbing knowledge

 

Hours of Work

Normal working hours are 37.5 per week over five days and you may be required, on occasion, to work overtime to meet business needs.
