An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the JJ Fox Trading team as a Vending Technician.  The successful applicant does not need direct experience of the role, but will need to demonstrate commitment, be inquisitive and show initiative in the pursuit of self-improvement and lifelong learning, with an end goal of building an ever improving themselves and us.

Purpose of the Role:

The main purpose of this position is to ensure the timely installation, service and repair of the company’s vending and catering equipment on customer premises.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Install, service and repair of a variety of equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines
• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance service visits
• Notify Management if customer requirements cannot be met, and assist in negotiating a workable solution for both parties
• Provide internal PAT services
• Provide accurate and detailed records of works carried out and parts used
• Maintain and repair the spare machine stock
• Adhere to all customers’ procedures concerning access, security and health and safety measures
• Report all customer feedback, both positive and negative, to Management

• Develop close working relationships with customers to provide first class customer service

• Develop and maintain a continuous improvement approach to help improve customer service levels, quality standards, productivity and efficiency
• Ensure an organised, secure and clean storage environment for all equipment and spares (at all locations and within vehicles)
• Ensure your vehicle is kept clean at all times, and report all damages/faults immediately to Management
• Provide cover for other roles within the vending division and perform various other duties as required

Company Policies and Procedures

• Enforce the Company’s Health and Safety rules and regulations and security standards
• Assist in creating, reviewing and updating the company’s standard operating practices and risk assessments

Experience/Skills Required:

Essential:

• Experience in commercial catering appliances
• Electro and mechanical knowledge
• Clean driving licence
• Good knowledge of Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Knowledge of the island
• CRB clearance

 An Advantage:

• Basic food hygiene certificate
• Basic electrical qualification
• Barista / coffee knowledge
• Plumbing knowledge

Hours of Work

Normal working hours are 37.5 per week over five days and you may be required, on occasion, to work overtime to meet business needs.
