An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Fox Trading Group Jersey team as a Buyer, supporting our Purchasing function and playing a key role in ensuring the efficient, cost-effective supply of products across the business.

We’re looking for a commercially minded and highly organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with data, suppliers, and internal teams to drive strong availability, margin performance, and operational efficiency. Purpose of the Role

The Buyer is responsible for procuring goods for resale, ensuring continuity of supply while balancing price, quality, stock holding, and availability. The role supports business performance through effective stock management, supplier relationships, demand planning, and promotional activity, while upholding the Purpose and Values of the Fox Group.

 

Key Responsibilities

Role Specific

  • Manage stock and respond proactively to changes in demand
  • Review KPI’s, including sales, profit margins, pricing structures, and stock performance
  • Plan, control, and communicate promotional activities to the sales team
  • Maintain accurate product data within in-house systems
  • Maintain existing supplier relationships and source new products and suppliers
  • Process purchase orders in line with agreed procedures
  • Support the purchase ledger team with supplier claims

Company Policies and Procedures

  • Support and proactively manage the Company’s standard operating practices, particularly in relation to product supply
  • Enforce the Company’s Health and Safety rules, regulations, and security standards relating to product supply

 

Requirements:

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Confident and clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical ability with experience interpreting data and KPIs
  • Commercial awareness and a structured, strategic approach to planning
  • Computer literate with strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365
  • Knowledge of product sourcing, industry practices, quality standards, and logistics
  • Previous purchasing or buying experience is an advantage

  • Comfortable working with data and making evidence-based decisions
