Interim or full-time applications are invited to fill the post of Finance Director (with responsibility for the Company Secretary function) of Fox Trading, a wholly owned subsidiary of the privately owned Fox Group of businesses in the Channel Islands.

Fox Trading aspires to become the supplier of choice for locally and globally sourced products and services to the Channel Islands Retail, Hospitality, Catering, and Corporate sectors. The business is developing an ambitious Strategic Plan to transform itself to achieve that goal and is looking for a highly motivated Finance Director who can:

• Work closely with, and contribute to, a dynamic Shareholder, Board and Management team;
• Contribute fully to, and assist in the development and implementation of, the Company’s Strategic Plan and associated projects;
• Lead the development and implementation of the Plan’s Financial Strategy;
• Constructively challenge assumptions and guide decision-making through a data driven approach to financial analysis;
• Optimise the Company’s financial performance, working capital needs and strategic position;
• Manage the Company’s accounting, administration & company secretarial functions;
• Ensure financial systems and controls are effective and compliant in supporting current activities and future growth;
• Maintain high levels of integrity, credibility and strong working relationships with colleagues and external parties alike (including customers and advisors);

       and Implement Group policy and work to hard corporate deadlines in the following areas:

• Budgeting,
• Reporting,
• Audit, and
• The regulatory requirements of statutory bodies.

Candidates with relevant experience in the following areas will be prioritised:

• The local commercial market;
• The implementation of quality management systems (such as ISO and Investors in People);
• Digital transformation; and
• Negotiating and integrating acquisitions of third-party businesses.

The Board are looking to permanently fill the position. However, applications for a 10-month interim fixed term contract to facilitate an extended selection process will be considered. The candidate MUST BE resident in the Channel Islands (and have entitled status if in Jersey).
