We're recruiting for a Purchasing Stock Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the JJ Fox Trading Purchasing team as a Purchasing Stock Controller. The successful applicant needs to be well organised, have good attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively with our Suppliers and internal colleagues in all departments on a daily basis, whilst providing excellent customer service at all times.  Purpose of the Role:

The Purchasing Stock Controller will manage the purchase orders with our suppliers against forecasted and actual customer demand to manage stock levels, ensuring stocks are managed to prevent over stocking and out of stocks, enabling the Fox team to provide excellent service levels to our customers.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the forecasts in line with customer demand, including seasonal and dated products
  • Manage the Purchase Order process to replenish stock as required and keep stock levels at an acceptable level
  • Liaise with Operations to resolve supplier or stock issues arising from deliveries
  • Track the scheduled deliveries and order quantities based on the POs placed and the agreed SLA with the suppliers
  • Support Company ‘Stock Takes’ to ensure an accurate stock file is maintained at all times
  • Ensure accurate record keeping at all times, including stock adjustments
  • Liaise with 3rd party providers of logistical services to ensure supplier activity is being managed efficiently

 

Experience/Skills Required:

 Essential:

  • Proven track record as a Stock Controller or similar, with experience in forecasting and logistics management 
  • Computer Literate with all standard Company systems (Office 365, Excel, Teams, Word)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail, with very accurate data maintenance achieved at all times

 

 An Advantage:

  • A level education, with particular focus on English, Maths and Business Skills

 

Hours of Work

Normal working hours are 37.5 per week over five days and you may be required, on occasion, to work overtime to meet business needs.
