We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our JJ Fox (Guernsey) Ltd Warehouse team. The successful applicant needs to be physically fit, well organised and responsible individual, who has great communication skills and experience managing and leading large teams.

Purpose of the Role:

The primary purpose of this position is to manage and lead the warehouse team to ensure the safe, efficient, accurate storage and despatch of goods, whist providing first class service to both internal and external customers. This will involve overseeing the management of the team handling the receipt of inbound goods through to their delivery at customers’ premises, including storage, inventory control and customer returns.  The incumbent is to ensure first class internal and external customer service from his/her team through the training and development of all warehouse-based employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Management of the operations within the warehouse and distribution processes.
• Monitor team performance, provide direction, coaching and motivation.
• Develop and maintain internal and external customer service levels amongst the team.
• Continually look for, identify and propose improvement initiatives.
• Enforce the Company’s Health and Safety rules and regulations and security standards.
• Assist in creating, reviewing and updating the company’s standard operating practices and risk assessments.

Experience/Skills Required:

Essential:

• Proven experience in warehouse and team management.
• Thorough knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, preferably trained to IOSH standards.

• Strong communication skills, both spoken and written English.

• Clean driving licence.
• Good knowledge of Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Excellent knowledge of the island.
• First aid certification.
• Trained to fire marshal standard.

An Advantage:

• IOSH / NEBOSH certified
• Forklift licence
• Reach truck licence
• Experience with warehouse scanning programs

Hours of Work

Normal working hours are 37.5 per week over five days and you may be required, on occasion, to work overtime to meet business needs.
